It all depends on the rates the company you want to use charges. I had mine done on a 98 Toyota Cellica Gt Convertable and it was about $750 total. It took about 2 hours... but figgure around 3 to be safe. You can call around for estimates as well.

Need to know what kind of vehicle. You may be anywhere from 1 hour to 10 hours, depending on the car or van. I would also replace the water pump at the same time, if it acts as a pulley for the timing belt and is therefore under the timing cover.

The whole job is likely to run $650-$900 parts & labor depending on the year and model.You don't only replace the belt. Once you have the car that much apart, you replace the water pump, too. Maybe hoses and/or other belts as well.No point in doing double labor if something else fails in 6 months.
