my transmission is going bad so i have to get a new one but my motor has 162000 miles on it so im just gonna get a new motor and transmission. I want something with more power than the stock d16yb v-tech engine thats in it.

the 96 civics are the most fun to do a swap. any B series engine would be great a B16 from and civic Si or a B18 from an integra GSR are the best, you have more upgrade options on these engines. you can search the net for new and remaned b series engines from the Us or Japan, many come with engine tranny and the computer (make sure you get a CPU with you Engine). there are some great books to read at the book store that list all the parts you need step by step directions and even the companies that make the parts. happy hunting
