Default what kind of engine is in a acura integra LS? and in the GSR?

i was thinking about getting one of these engines for my car, but how much work would that require to put one in a 1996 civic ex, 2dr, 5-speed?

both engines are a great idea. the GSR B 18 is the better of the two however they are harder to get a hold of. the swap is no problem either. there is alot of reaserch on the subject and many aftermarket companies make the motor mounts and conversion kits. one of the easiest ways to figure it out is to buy a book barns an nobel sells a honda tunner guide that lists the exact steps and even gives you the companies that make the kits check it out it is a lot of fun.

the gsr type R is the best out of those to its a b18c5the gsr is a b18c1the ls is a b18b1I could not tell you which one is the easiest to put in but they should be the same and the only one thats going to be worth it would be the gsr, but your looking at some money all the way around and the same amount of work so thats up to you on the motor

Well both engines with out a doubt are good. Perfomance wise both equal. GSR makes more power but the B18B1 LS motor has great power two. Prices GSR cost more, LS cost around $2200 for JDM full swap the LS tranny is lagg due it was design to be the cheaper and better on gas. Um if you do get an LS get a GSR tranny. You will need to convert your car to OBD1 you need a jumper harness for that. Both swaps are equal as you need to b-serious mount axles and shift linkage. Little to no wiring.

The LS is a B18A engine horsepower rated at 140HP with 150LBS Torque and the GSR has a B18C1 engine with 170HP with 130LBS torque. It would cost maybe 1K at the most to put it in and not only do you need just the engine. You need the harness, tranny, and the ECU
