it cost a lot of money to convert it to MT. you need a new center console. flywheel and you need to run lines in and a clutch kit and a shifter and more. in my eyes its not worth it. if you like your honda keep it how it is. it doesnt have to be manual. there are semi-fast automatics out there. not many but there are.

Few times a day somebody ask about converting their auto to manual (or vice versa). It used to be that everybody answered - that it was cheaper to sell your and buy another with manual. I still contend that if it is not just plain cheaper, at least it is better. When you do a major surgery on you car like that, the quality of the end product will largely depend on the skill of your mechanic. Given this is not a everyday thing (not even every other month thing), I would say that you are leaving awfully a lot to your faith in your mechanic.Bottom line don't do it unless you are creating a show car or gutting things out for a racer, etc.But Good Luck anyway.===Don't forget to vote for the BEST ANSWER - please - whoever it may be.FACT: You also get +3 points when you vote for BEST ANSWER

why do u wanna shift gears brah. I asked my brother how much it would cost (he's done a 96 acura integra) charged him 3800 dollars. if you want to shift gears cuz u think its fun then go for it but nowadays cars are driving much smarter. They'll know when its time to shift when u punch the gas. it would be much cheaper to buy a civic computer upgrade.
