honda civic swap?
i have a 2002 honda civic LX and its automatic. i was wondering what kind of engine i could swap it with? i have a D17A1 engine right now (stock). also can i make the car manual by buying a whole new engine? I would like to know price range, problems, plus', everything please, because i dont know how to swap at all. thank you

Ouch. I have the DX and the thought of getting a new engine in one scares me.

Its possible but, your gonna need a lot more than just an engine and tranny. your gonna need the pedal and brackets and the claps the hold the clutch cable/hydro lines to the car your also gonna need mounts b16 mounts are 300-500 from hasport. Your also gonna need a motor if your swapping then your gonna go B-series of course, the whole swap- engine tranny ecu axels shift linkage harness would cost 2000+. I would look at PROCIVIC.com or Turbospecialties.com they make a turbo kit for your car with a good price tag.
