Default I have a 55 plate honda civic sport and want to put 17 inch type r alloys on, how much will this...

...affect my ins I have found a set of 17 inch alloys off a civic type r. My civic has 16s and I want to put the 17s on, but i am worried about my insurance costs.

you should also have the speedo re-synchronized?... unless the overall circumferance is the same as your stock wheels or you may get speeding tickets!!!... insurance companies need to know of any modification...but im not sure if this includes wheels?..its engines/tuning they are mainly concerned with...

It will cetainly improve the car on speed and ride and cornering.Dont think the Insurance will charge for that really.Fit them you will notice the differenve straight away but you may have to play with the tyre pressures on the front.I suggest 2lbs per sq in below the recomemded and only check when they are cold.No big deal go for it.Not forgetting to paint the brake calipers red.Amorite one coat.
