Adjust it correctly? Use the lumbar support? Apart from that, there's not a lot you can do except change the car. You could change the seat but the only other real option is a racing seat which I'm sure you will find a lot more uncomfortable if you don't like a standard one. How about a padded seat cover?

Why in the Hell do you want to buy a cheap Accord while there are plenty of good and roomy American cars available for cheap all around? It will take very long until you'll spend as much money in gasoline as you have to pay to afford a newer foreign car (with small and cheap seats).

I has similar back pain driving from NYC to Chicago last year. I normally drive for about 1 hour max. After 2 hours straight, my back was killing me (and I had another 10 hours to go - 800 miles total). Then I tilted the seat back more (like I was sitting in my living room couch) and put some rolled up towel for back (lumbar) support. Lumbar is the area near the kidneys. I once heard that the F14 / F15 fighter jocks sit at 45 degree angle (so I can pretend). The pain went away and I was able to drive another 10 hours perfectly fine. In fact I was able to drive BACK another 12 hours (this time Chicago to NYC) the NEXT day.I don't know if the reclining of the seat or the lumbar support did the trick. But just try playing with the seat setting and the lumbar support.http://www.painreliever.com/lumbar.html===Don't forget to vote for the BEST ANSWER - please - whoever it may be.FACT: You also get +3 points when you vote for BEST ANSWER
