mash the trip reset button on your dash by the spedometer then while holding the buttin in insert your key and turn it on but do not start it wait about 30 seconds the maint light will go off then u can release the button and its reset....when in doubt the procedure is in the owners manual

stevens answer will work but check the gas cap first. if its loose the light wont go out. otherwise you might need a new gas cap. about 30 bucks at the dealer dont buy the cheap aftermarket ones as they go bad fast...good luck
