im purchasing a s2k soon and dont know which one is overall faster, lighter, and better. is the 2.0 liter engine with the 9K RPM (2000-2003 model) faster than the 2.2 Liter engine with the 8K RPM (2004-2007)? which one is overall faster and better? one has more revs and the other has more liters. which year is overall faster, lighter, and better?

There both about the same, the newer one has little more TRQ better off the line but the 2.0L has higher top end, so a 0-60 time slips the 2.2L is better but overall are great cars. Check honda-tech.com S2000 section and S2ki.com
