Default Will California SMOG let you...?

Im trying to see what simple swaps i can put for a ef civic/crx which will still pass california emissions? was going to go dohc zc (because of the d-series fitting and still being a 1.6 it might have a chance of passing)? help please... thanks.

no sure but I do know that the B20 motors can since its a truck motor""check this site out:http://www.dmv.org/ca-california/smog-check.php

Get a D16A swap so you can pass smog.

the only way you can swap a motor in cali is if you put a newer year motor than what is in it now as long as you have all the sensors hooked up you will be ok

you have to put the same year motor or newer to start... also the zc would be a bad choice this motor tends to fail smog test like all jdm engines.. stick with d16
