Default i have a '05 civic si if i add a turbo will the turbo put more wear and tear on the engine than...

...normal? do intercoolers and turbos and superchargers mess up your engine?

it will put more wear on the engine. The engine isn't made for a turbo.You can spend some money and build up the parts to make it handle to the turbo, but if you just slap it on it's going to put more stress on it.

True that engine was not designed for a turbo, but the bigger factor on what type of wear or damage it will cause is what kind of driving to you intend on doing? Are you just looking to add a little horsepower at a cheap price or are you looking for something fast to impress your friends and girls?Also keep in mind if you have any power train warranty left on your car, you are in serious danger of voiding it with an add on like that.feel free to IM me on yahoo if you have any other questionsthewisetuner

your engine should be fine as long as you dont over boost it. then the engine wont be able to hold that kind of power and blow a hole in the side of your block. as long as you run a safe amount of boost you be fine
