What do you plan to do with the Honda Pilot? If you are looking for people carrying, it does have an extra row in the back for the extra passengers and it is comfortable. It has a lot of space if you are looking to carry things around, go on family trips, picnics, or camping. Gas mileage could be better but it's an SUV so don't expect too much from that. But if you are looking to go offroading, I would say go with the 4Runner instead. For offroading, the Honda Pilot is overweight and underpowered. With only one person in the car, the Honda Pilot struggled tremendously to climb a 35-40 degree incline. Which is pathetic in my opinion.

Have an 05 and luv it. Mileage is as expected, rad the sticker. Have taken off road but not serious off roading that would scratch up the paint. Used in deep winter snow no problem. Nothing has gone wrong. Rides better then the Toyota, had no problems climbing hils. Depending on where your at I have a great dealer I got mine from. Never had such a good experience with a dealer.

Haven't owned one, but worked for a Honda dealership as a technician for 9 years. I can tell you this is an extremely reliable vehicle and every owner I speak with LOVES theirs. If all cars were built like a pilot there would be no need for repair shops!!! I say buy it!!
