It depends how you treat the car but they can last way past 150,000 miles. I have a 97 civic and I'm up to 165,000 the only problem that my engine has is that it burns oil so i have to keep putting a quart of oil every 3-4 weeks. But that's something you can expect with high mileage engines.

199,914. Seriously, how the hell is anyone supposed to answer a question like that? Every car and driver is different.

This is a finance question, not a car question. What I mean is that as long as you have the funds to invest, you can replace anything that wears out on the car. Most cars are junked when the repair value equals or exceeds the value of the vehicle. On a Civic, this is probably going to be 250k-300k for mileage. I sold a '94 Quest at 200k because the a/c repair was equal to the value of the vehicle (about $1,500). Hope this helps.

If you take care of it and do all the oil changes, belts, head gasket, starter, alternator, Fluids, and anyother small stuff I say pass 1,000,000 miles.

With proper maintenance I would say 300,000+. I had a 91 accord and sold it after 245,000. I know I could have gotten another 100,000 out of it, it still ran perfect.
