As a longtime Honda owner, I have found that, with proper maintenance, they last well past 200K miles.Make sure that the car has been maintained well to this point, obviously.I have bought them with over 100K miles and kept them to 175K.

I own three Honda Civic's. Just turned out that they were very reliable. Do the 110,000 mile service shortly after you buy it; yes I am saying buy the 90,000 Civic if the owner has records, no accidents, and looks good. Follow the servicing, pay the insurance (it's a little higher than most sedans) and enjoy for at least another 100,000 miles.
