How can I check the oil on a 1993 Honda Civic; I want to put in an additive also to clean. It's a model, DX.I know that the oil stick has a yellow end and usually the tranny has a red end, but I can't find it.

If it's a automatic the dip stick will be on the passanger side of the engine bay on the transmission close to the right side engine mount, you will have to look for it, the dip sticks are a litte hard to see, and please only use Honda transmisson fluid..If it's a manual transmission there will be a plug on the transmisson just above the drain plug and older hondas just used 5w30
