Default Has anyone bought an 07 Honda CR-V? Did you negotiate much off the sticker price?

(Dealers are telling me that they can not come down from the sticker price, due to high demand) Is this true, it is my first time at buying a new car and do not know if they are just screwing with me. )

Make sure that they have you phone #, give them your offer, then leave. If they are screwing with you they will call you. I always ask to see the invoice, most car salesmen are required to show it to you if you ask. It will have on it what the dealership paid for the car, and then you can negotiate for the salesman's commision. Good luck and don't forget to shop around for a while and test drive before you buy.

Let me answer your question with a question.Do you go to the grocery store of a place like Targer or Wal-Mart and try to negotiate the price YOU want to pay?No you don't.You simply pay whatever the cost is and walk away with your new purchase. Why do people think that buying a car is any different? The price is on the window for a reason: THAT IS HOW MUCH IT COSTS!!

In response to breaking hearts.. Are you retarded? A box of spaghetti costs $1 not $22,000. Every negotiates high ticket items. IE cars, houses, fine jewelry, etc. Have fun getting ripped off paying sticker. The only time you should pay sticker for a new car is if indeed there is a high demand. This may be the case.
