mean? I took it to Auto Zone so they can run a diagnostic test and P1146 Emission Control Came out and the worker didn't know what it meant.

what is the problem? Is there a warring light on? How is the car running? Sounds like you might have check engine light.Emission control, sounds like the secomdary air pump is siezed or just ont working, they can wear out also sometimes they suck up water and eventually fail. Secondary air pump is part of your emissins control helps regulate emissions along with your coverter and O2 sensor, O2 sensor usually creates a engine missfire in one or more cylinders and creates a rough idle sometime and may even stall. A bad coverter will rattle at engine idle and may even clog and then burst a hole in the side of it. So with that being said try your Secondary Air Pump.

civic do not have any air pumpsand stay away from autozoneand 1998 civics do not have that codesorry go to a HONDA dealer and have them check the correct code

Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Perf (High Input)Take it back to them let them know what the code means they will give you the part,and you might beable to match the part up and replace it yourself. If not ask someone you know to do it for you its not hard just make sure that you take the neg battery cable off while you or they replace it. It will stop any shortage from messing your car up and it will reset the ecu/code. GOOD LUCK ok my bad they gave you the wrong code the code they gave you is for VW and SUBURA. I was able to find the code before but no make or model I apologise for bad info but that is what the code is for

there correct that is an ivalid code for a 98 civic...u need to take to to some place other than autozone...i have seen several times where they have read the code wrong and sold the wrong part...also honda do not like autozone parts...i have seen queit a fee times the part get replaced with a autozone parts and them be bad...hondas are real sensitive to sensors
