I have a 1991 Honda Prelude and it seems when its get hot outside it wont start sometimes. i live in Tennessee so the temperature gets pretty hot at times and i'm stranded in the parking lot waiting for it to start. The car will turn over but its not firing up and wanting to start. ive tried wiggling wires and everything but yesturday it wouldnt start for 5 hours. Finallly after letting it sit for a few hours it started up. It is an Si 5 speed if that makes a difference. If any1 can tell me what it could be i'd gladly appreciate it.

Have you driven the car before hand then tried to restart at hot temps. ?? OR is the car sitting for hours on hours then you get in and try to start and nothing happens, need more info please 8), contact me if u need more help.Good Luck

I have this exact same problem with my 1994 Honda Accord EX. Does not happen very often but it did happen yesterday, when it was about 90. Could not start the car until this morning. Please let me know if you find anything out. Thanks!

the same thing used to happen to my moms honda. she changed the master relay under the dash and it never did it again.--good luck

I had a 90 Honda Civic Si that had this problem too--and only when it was hot out. I had a sequence of lights that would come on, battery light, etc, when I'd turn the key. When it was going to have this problem, the lights always didn't light up properly. It would make a quick turn and then stop when I'd hit the ignition. The funny this is, I could keep turning the key and know if it was going to start or not by watching the light sequence. Sometimes I'd have to turn the key 20 times to get it to go, but it was strange because it only did this occasionally.
