Default How to install a cold air intake on a 2007 honda civic?

I'm not sure what needs to be done with the sensor on the air box.

Make sure you get an intake that routes the air from the outside. In other words, is your intake filter sitting inside the engine compartment? If it is, this is more of a "hot air intake" as it pulls in hot air from the engine compartment, at which point you're actually losing horsepower. The stock air filter assembly have the tubes getting the air from the fender or from the front, in both cases getting cold air from the outside. Cold air is more dense, allowing for better combustion and thus increasing power. Granted, its not that much power to be gained this way on a naturally aspirated engine (forced induction is a totally different story though.) So just make sure you get one where the filter sits outside (gets its air from the outside) somehwere, otherwise you're wasting your money.

ok since these retards didn answer u question i will.you will first have to remove the stock intake.u open the filter cover...remove filter, and there should be three bolts in the bottom of the box. unbolt them.remove all sensors and set them asidethen u un clamp the box from the piping... then unbolt the piping from the throttle body. now u have to jack up the car and remove the wheel well. it should be a few screws and bolts..... once thats done put in the intake and make sure your clamps are tight!!! re install all sensors.its not that hard. and im sure that the intake comes with instructions..
