Here's an way to accurately gauge your MPG.(1) fill your tank to the max (to the last drop). (2) go driving on the HWY - on cruise control - no braking(3) go about 10, 20 or 30 miles.(4) note the exact miles driven (M)(5) fill the tank to the max again (to the last drop).(6) note the gallons this time (G)Now you have miles (M) and gallons (G). To get MPG MPG = M / GYou don't have to account for the gas amount filled in step 1. That is just a "repeatable point."It is best that you (a) do this after rush hour (b) use cruise control (c) no braking (d) level hwy - no mountain (e) calm day (no wind) (f) longer drive give better accuracy===That was your HWY MPG. Do get the city MPG (true MPG), just do the same except step 2, you just drive normally on the city. You can use this method to get your long term MPG. Average weekly MPG, daily MPG, etc.Good Luck.===Don't forget to vote for the BEST ANSWER - please - whoever it may be.FACT: You also get +3 points when you vote for BEST ANSWER

The answers posted here make sense & should allow you to check fuel economy for yourself.I own an '00 V6 Accord, and have checked fuel economy both before & after I installed cold air induction/performance exhaust/iridium plugs. I found the car to deliver a best milage on long trips w. cruise control set at 65 mph. I got ~ 29 mpg when the car was 'stock', and I got 31 mpg on a trip after I installed the performance modifications (they help the engine breath better).Honda states the fuel economy range should run from ~ 23 - 29 mpg...that seems to be pretty realistic.
