Default Keys get stuck in my 2001 Honda Civic ingnition...what's going on?

Sometimes, when my daughter gets home....she says that she can't get the key out of her ignition? Any ideas?

It is a gimmick for the new Transformer movie coming out on 07/03/07. it is an autobot in disguise and you'll win a million dollars on that day.

Is she sure that she is turning the key all the way over. Sometimes I turn the key to far back and I can not get my key out.

It may be the shiftlock, next time it happens, tell her to let go of the key, push the selector a little harder into park, then push the brake pedal down very hard, and try to remove the key. (I'm guessing this is an automatic?). Does the key ever have trouble in the door locks? Does she ever have to jiggle the key in the ignition? If so, I'd take the care to your Honda dealership and have them make a new key from the vehicle VIN.
