The Navigation System is a CD/ROM based unit that should be upgraded every tow or three years to account for new streets, businesses, etc.The New Update is available from your Honda Dealer as a cost of around $150. (which explains why two to three years is often enough)You can either reload the CD yourself or ask them to show you how. It will only take a minute. The unit is located under the front passenger seatHope this helps

Actually, you cannot order the update DVD from a Honda dealer nor can a Honda dealer order one for you. Honda thinks for some reason that dealers will go crazy and horde the supply of discs in inventory so they won't allow the dealers to order any. You have to order the disc yourself. Here's how to do that per HondaORDERING A DVDYou can simply call the number below and order one over the phone. There are several versions of the DVD available depending on the year and model (different colors for different years and models) but Honda says the phone center can figure that out--Here's who you call:The Honda Navigation Disc Fulfillment Center(888-291-4675) will know the correct color DVDapplication for each vehicle, and can provide the latestversion. You can also order online:When ordering online, go to www.Honda.com,then select Honda automobiles. Enter Navi in theAsk a Question box, then click on Order update DVD.You will then be prompted to enter the year and model. The site automatically references a current DVDapplication chart, and selects the correct color andversion DVD for you. You are then given the choice ofa Coverage, FAQs, or Order link. Your navigation system manual that came with the car provides additional orderingand installation information. This information is locatedin the Customer Assistance section of the owner's manual.Hope that answers your question

You can order it online at most dealer websites and have it shipped to your house if you like. It is a DVD disc based unit. CDs were for the first generation.Look for a link on the dealer's website called Honda's e-StoreAs far as actual location of the drive, it is under the passenger side front seat
