Best to just replace the egr valve ...get it at autozone relatively cheaply.

carb cleaner or brake cleaner.. they will both break it up.. use eye protection. the chemicals will affect your eyes.and skin. make sure that is ur problem. u can use a vacuum pump gun to test it and see if it will work.

what year.. i did my 95 accord without trouble. get the injector seals (o-rings) since you will need to remove the injectors to get to the egr cover plate. mine were 100% clogged. remove the plate and use a pick to unplugg the holes. use carb cleaner on the plate/housing. on earlier accords, the port plug have to be replaced after drilling them out, but 94-97 don't.

u left out some very important info...what year and if its a v6....im goin to guess its a 98-02 accord sice we see that the most if its a 4 cyl u will need to rais the fuel rail with the injectors attatched to it and theres 4 or 5 10mm bolts under it remove them and clean all the carbon out and make sure the holes to the intake are clean i use a drill bit by hand...now if its a v6 then u need to remove the upper part of the intake and once u flip it upside down then u will see all the carbon built up clean it out and blow the intake out so u dont get excessive carbon in your engine then just reassemble...if its a v6 u should install a new valve and now one from autozone i have seen them cause hesitations and repeat check engine lights on. hope this helps
