My wife"s 2004 Honda Accord has stared making a whining noise that is coming from the intake. I have take the hose off that goes from the intake to the breather and I can hear a a faint noise, but when I put the tube back on it is pretty loud. wonder where noise could be coming from? Putting my hand over/in the tube diminishes the whinning and moving my hand around in the tube makes it louder too??[Reply]

When you get a noise that you need to identify, you should use a stethoscope like this:http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/subca...stethoscopeYou put it on just like a doctor would, and then touch various items where you suspect the noise is coming from. And you can identify EXACTLY what is causing the noise.===You can also so the same with a long (LONG) screwdriver or even a piece of stick. Touch one end to the OUTTER ear and the other end to various parts of the car. That's how I do it.But whatever it is, don't guess.
