...transmission what would i need? It used to have a/n SOHC, Automatic...it was a salvage..veichle junkyard build...i have done some research and im planning on Getting a K 20 engine..the type s but i would need a transmission with shift linkage what kind of transmission is recommended and and what else would i need for this build...plz..help..anyone...thanx

Well to be quite honest unless you have an extra $10,000- $12,000 laying around it wont get done. Not only is the motor itself $4,000, but you need the K20 tranny, shift linkage, ECU, complete wiring harness, motor mounts, tranny mounts, axles, clutch master cylinder, clutch pedal, shifter, shifter adapter due to your car being the previous generation civic, and LOTS of modification. If you really want a 5 speed, go buy one. You can get a 97 civic with a B16 or B18 swap already done and running for way less than this swap. Its just not worth it.

I agree with the first poster. My best advice would be to sell the ek and find yourself a standard one. It would be cheaper than doing the conversion from auto to standard, and then swapping for the k20 setup=big $=not wise.
