Civic Si new one is but not there top they prefer 1994-2001 Integras, any 1988-2000 Civic modded. But on there top hit list Integra Type Rs. Your model parts arent in high demend like the ITR's but once K's become cheaper to swap watch out. It also depends on where you live.

You often hear that these cars are frequently stolen. And there is some past data to represent that, but Honda has taken some pretty agressive moves to secure their cars. The current generation hondas have a rolling code security chip in them. This chip which resides in the key, needs to be next to the ignition to get it started. These keys can only be made at a honda or acura dealer and they must be programmed into the car with a honda exclusive system. The insurance on my 2006 accord is actually lower than my 2000 chrysler concorde.I think you are making a good choice on the civic si.

I had a 01 Civic when I lived in San Diego and I was scared to death! I think at the time it was the top stolen car there. Somehow I was lucky and never even had it broken into(the first month I lived there I knew 3 people who had their cars stolen/broken into!!). Now I have an Accord and I'm hoping I stay lucky. I don't think you should be overly concerned with the idea of having your car stolen. Let insurance worry about that one! And I LOVE the Si! If I had the chance, I would get one too! Good luck and enjoy your car!!!
