How often do I need to have my A/C checked. I just bought a used 01 Honda Civic. I dont know if it has ever been checked. Should I get a leak check and refrigerant level check? Air blows cold but I dont know if it might be able to blow colder.

It'll blow coldest if it's on recycle air.There's really no reason to "service" an AC unless it's having issues. It's a closed system.

The usual guide is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". If the air is cold, it should be fine. You CAN get it checked and it shouldn't cost a lot. If they have to top off the refrigerant, it, too, can be done at a minimal price.
