The Honda S2000 manual says do not operate the roof with the engine running. Why is this? Is it purely safety or is there a technical reason?Just to add, the roof does not operate unless the handbreak is on therefore it cannot be operated while the car is moving. Thanks for your contributions but I will try once more. Do not forget that the roof will not operate with the hand brake on. It is therfore impossible to operate the roof whilst the car is moving. Why then do they bother to mention only operating the roof when the engine is stopped?
