I got a Honda crv 98, and it use to lose power going up a hill just like yours. I thought it was crap, but I did some research on the vehicle and it said something about all Honda CR-Vs lose power going up hills blah, blah not enough air goes into the engine (air/fuel combustion), so I bought an COLD AIR INTAKE and it got that power it was needing real bad. I now can fly up hills with no problems and the engine sounds great.Simply put, get a CAI system for your vehicle, you'll surely get more horsepower than me, yours a newer model or check the dealer you got the vehicle from. Grrrrrrrr
