Default I have a 1995 Honda accord Lx There is a leak on the passenger side.?

It was dripping from behind the glove box down to the floor. I'm guessing its the heater core. The windows fog up when its sunny and theres a light sprinkle of rain, even with no rain. It has that smell warm wet smell. feels moist in the car. What could it be and if it is the heater core how do i install myself? What tools will i need? I cant afford 500 for installation from a mechanic. I can only afford the part. Also the air conditioner sucks. Not cold like it should be.

Heater cores circulate antifreeze from the car's cooling system. Unless you are using water in your radiator, the antifreeze should have a foul bitter/sour chemical smell to it inside your car. If the fluid inside your car is not antifreeze, then I would investigte a possible seal leak around the windsheild, or inside the vent cowl intakes (under the wipers), where rain water may be getting in.

I would check to see if your A/C drain is plugged,it is located in the same area you are describing, but that warm syrup type smell is probably a heater core, and I do believe it involves removal of the dash, but no special tools(I think),get a haynes shop manual (10 $)or so,and read up before you start,it is time consuming,oh,here is one more check, checkthe wetness in your carpet to be sure its coolant, put a white towel on it and if it turns bright green its coolant

I had the same problem with my Accord 94.. this is the drain for the A/C system. its not pluged correctly to drain the water outside. what you need to do is place yourself under the glovebox and u can see a hose it might not be pluged correctly, soo try to fix it up and plug it correctly. it should work trust me.. regarding your A/C it might need coolant to be inserted under the front hood with the blue tap. Ask one of the car accessories and parts for the coolant and where to add it, it cost about 25$.. Good luck..
