P1457 is EVAP system - canister system. That's a whole system of several solenoid valves, vacuum hoses, the charcoal canister, a filter, & a pressure sensor. Something's not airtight...

EVAP System Leak Detected. This means that your car has detected a fuel vapor leak in the fuel system. The car forces a vacuum on the fuel sytem and measures how long it will hold. The fuel system is the fuel tank and lines, plus the fuel vapor canister and lines. The most common leak is the gas cap either being left a little loose or not sealing. Check your cap to see if it is loose. Also check the sealing area of the fuel filler neck for dirt and corrosion. Clean off any you find. Check the gas cap for dirt or a worn or cracked sealing ring. If you find a problem in these areas, take care of it and wait a while. The light should go out on its own within a couple weeks, depending on how much you drive. You could also go to an auto parts store that offers diagnostics and have the light turned off. Replacing the gas cap is a cheap thing to try also. If the light is still on in a couple weeks, or comes back on after having the code cleared, you may want to have it further looked into by a reputable shop. How to find a reputable shop? Ask around. People love to talk about how they have been treated by mechanics.
