honda civic lx? my car was hit while it was parked and the other person's insurance gave me an estimate of 530 dollars i think that is way too low of an estimate.

Tell them you want OEM only parts and choose a good shop to do the work. Usually an insurance company will give you an estimate, which is pretty low, and agree to write a check, and be done with it.Happened to my dad when he had an accident. They said the damage was like $2000, wrote him a check, he refused it, said "pay the shop, not me". He took it to the best shop in the area, they did an OEM job, cost $4000, insurance company was forced to pick up the tab.

well you can either go the cheap way.which is junk yard!$50 for a bumper cover,$30 for a light. estimated.and do it your self ,or if you have a relative or buddy that knows how to do it.or if you want new,you can go to the dealer,bumper cover is usually around $160 -$200 and have the shop paint it for like $100 -$200,light maybe around $100. take it to another shop and get an estimate or 2!you can pick where u want to take it and if its more than what the insurance co. gave you then they will pay the difference.bumper cover and light aint too hard to put on!just patience!
