i bought a 2000 civic si a few weeks ago. I came from the factory with keyless entry, but it was a theft recovery. I dont know if the keyless was taken (or even if it CAN be taken)...How do I know if i can just get the remote? And How do I program It if that is what i can do?

Try looking up what remote you need, I know with other vehicles you can program a remote to work. then just buy one on Ebay. It was easy to program and came fast. (although I ordered from a company in my state) So I don't. forsee you having any issues.

i would upgrade to an aftermarket keyless entry, or even add a full security system with keyless, might save money in the long run, by the time you buy the remote and then might have to go to the dealer to get it programmed. i say this becuase where i live people are always having there honda civics broken into and parts ripped off
