My air con doesnt work on my car! the light lights up but the car never seems to give out cold air, its just the normal warmish air. Does any one have a clue whether its the gas that has ran out or maybe the AC isnt working at all?help please

You can try to add r134, and buy a simple handheld tester to try to fix it, or the better solution is to take it to a trustworthy shop and at least have it diagnosed. Yes taking it to a shop will cost you a bit, but if you want the system to work correctly they have all the correct tools and equipment to do the job right. Fixing an AC system can be very tricky.

By all logic, an A/C system will last forever, as the system is completly 100% airtight. However, once air is added to the mix, the R134 will break down, causing the A/C not to work. Take it to a garage or dealer that deals with A/C, I'm not meaning that only tops off the system, I'm meaning a full diagnosis shop. They system has a leak in or air is being alloud into the system somehow. Its not always easy to find a leak, and even using dye and the untravilot light and glasses can't alwasy find it, and the "sniffer" doesn't always work either. Sometimes, though very rarly, you can get away with just charging the system and not having to replace anything. More times then not, I have seen many parts needing replacement because of leaks.

hi,First you might wanna check dat your car is not taking outside air by mistake. I had experienced sumthg like this before. I was told dat this happened due to the temperature level. If you adjust it to the coolest, it is possible to have the whole a/c frozen, thus you dun get any cool air but just air. Well, I know it doesn't make any sense but you can try to turn up the temperature slightly and see what happens. Otherwise go to a place where they specialise in fixing car a/c. Gud luck...
