The web site specifies an oil change interval of 60,000 miles per oil change when using amsoil and the by-pass filter.The next best thing would be using Mobil1 synthetic oil with a Mobile 1 filter. I use Mobile1 synthetic and I change my oil every 3,000 miles. Thats how long it takes for my oil to look dirty.I spend about 700 dollars on oil changes every 60,000 miles using this method (91 Accord). It would probably be cheaper and better for me to use AMSoil and the by-pass filter.
