depends from a dig or on the highway. Of course a sti will get you on the launch. But depending on the mods, a k20 civic should win. k20 can make great power with just a reflash, exhaust and intake. And with cams, it would definately best a sti.

A base k20 will not even come close to outdoing an Sti. But depending on wieght of the car and mods to the k20, it does have a chance. But then that also depends on the Sti and its mods. A base model can not out do a k20 but then again, I have seen an STI smoke a lot of cars and a k20 DX smoke a lot of cars. It would be close. I would say though A mod k20 could take an STI in most cases unless the STI is a super mod. Then no way.

Really depends on the driver. Stock k20 with basic bolt ons and reflashed ecu can do high 12 to low 13 with a very good driver.

Not even close. A STI puts out more HP and torque from the factory than the K20. 300 vs. 200. also the torque difference is almost 60 ft lbs. and the AWD. If you turboed the K20 on stock internals you MIGHT be faster, but all he would have to do is turn up the boost a few pounds and hes back to winning. No other mods necessary. The weight does make a SLIGHT difference but unless you get in the 500-1000 lbs less range it really doesn't matter. Sorry but I have to go with the STI on this one.

are you crazy an sti will cream a civic with a k20. And Im a civic fan with the new si. An sti comes with a turbo my friend and the si nor the rsx type-s comes with one. While they are quick for a natuarally aspired engine that cant beat an sti. Now If you slap a turbo on that k20 thats a different story. Mine is in the mail by the way cant wait. an evo is a car more in the same class as the sti you might wanna argue with your friend about that. If you wanna see a race between a civic si and a sti though go on youtube. The civic lossed but it surprisingly kept up with the sti though. The guy must have been a bad driver.

it depends on what civic your talking about. if it is the the older lighter models like the eg or the earlier ones then the civic has a very good chance with basic bolt ons vs a stock sti. the early models of the civic are extremly light and 200 is alot of power/weight ratio. if your talking about the newer civic si that has the k20 in it then theres no way the civic would win without crazy mods because the new civic is alot larger and weights alot more then the older generation civics. i would say the new civic size wise is almost as big and prob weight about the same as the older 90 accord.
