how do i reset a fuel pump.?

I would need to know what kind of vehicle?

an inertia switch, usually on the bottom of the passenger A pillar.well, if you hit something, causing a jolt, the inertia switch may go off, shutting off the fuel pump in case of crash. pressing the button turns the fuel pump back on.

Check your owners manual. If you don't have it, try Ebay or as a last resort order one from a dealer. A lot of cars have a fuel pump reset button near the left rear wheelwell. If you need to reset it more than once in a blue moon, it should be replaced.

im not completely understanding you but ill give you one thing to try.. pull up the backseat there will be a tin cover with phillips screws.. take it off.. there will be two to three plugs one of them is the fuel pump.. unplug it while the vehicle is started... let it run untill it dies and then turn the key off and plug it back up.. after that turn the key on and off three times.. and then start the vehicle... see if this solves the problem..

there is no way to reset a fuel pump. if you give more info on your problem maybe i can be of help. i need to know what year and model car and your concern.
