Default 93 Honda Prelude Rod Problem?

I have a h23 non vtec engine with a bad rod What are the steps to replace the rod?Okay, for the first answer I pulled out the enging and put in a rebuilt h22 vtec engine, now I have this extra engine here and was thinking about repairing the rod and buying a prelude shell and putting it in there....So how much am i looking at to have it machined and a new/reconditioned rod put in if i bring them it already taken apart and ready?

if u like the car and plan on keeping it get the engine rebuilt or get a motor from a junk yard. thats prob cheaper than fixing it.

remove engine and tear down, the crank needs to be machined for and undersize bearing, the head needs to be pulled so you can remove the piston and have it fitted with a new or reconditioned rod.

If you know what your doing the put it on an engine stand and rebuild it. Step by step instructions and too complex to list, like bolt sequence, torque specs etc etc, The crank will need to be balanced and your going to have to check the journals to tell if they are going to need to be machined or not. The crank may be in balance and not need anything, but your better off taking it just to make sure. Replace the bearings, rings, check your clearances, rehone your cylinders etc. Before I get into all of this, tear down the engine and make sure there isn't any other problems. With something like that, do a complete bottom end rebuild.
