Default Is A Honda Civic EX With 128,000 Miles A Bad Buy?

The car is a '95 Honda Civic EX, is in good shape, power windows, locks, has a sunroof, cd/fm player, and the owner is selling it for $2700. But is the mileage to high?

Not necessarily, they averaged under 12k annually. Hondas are generally great cars and reliable. At that age, they are just going to require some maintenance and TLC. Good luck.

I used to have 99 honda civic ex coupe, fully loaded, great commuter car, drove til 199,000 miles and still ran decent. try to negotiate down to $2200 or so...then its a great buy. 128K isnt high milage for civic.

it is bad because 128,000 is to much so you should ask it for $2000 and that will be a good buy

If the car is well cared for and maintained, it can be a good buy. Ask to see maintenance records. You'll want to see if they've replaced the timing belt and water pump (which should have already been done before 100K), for example.

Get it for a little less..great buy. You can get 200,000 miles out of that. Hondas last forever and you can't go wrong with one. Just bought a 07 civic ex saturday and plan to keep it for a while

I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX with 176,000 on it and it runs excellent. As long as you maintain a Honda they will usually run great. On average people put 12.000 miles a year on a car so that should have around 144,000 miles on it, so the mileage is actually on the low side. But never pay the asking price, im sure he will come down alittle. I think the car sounds like a good deal. Good Luck!!

Well if everything is in good shape and everything runs good, the milage is not a problem because hondas last a long a time i have a 91 Civic and it has a lot of milage just make sure the v-tech is good. Just keep the oil changed and you shall be fine.

nope the millage is not to high some hondas can go to 400, 000 milles so 128,000 is nothing and the price is about right

Honda's last forever if they are maintained well. Ask if they'll take $2500. It never hurts to ask right?
