If the car is well cared for and maintained, it can be a good buy. Ask to see maintenance records. You'll want to see if they've replaced the timing belt and water pump (which should have already been done before 100K), for example.

I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX with 176,000 on it and it runs excellent. As long as you maintain a Honda they will usually run great. On average people put 12.000 miles a year on a car so that should have around 144,000 miles on it, so the mileage is actually on the low side. But never pay the asking price, im sure he will come down alittle. I think the car sounds like a good deal. Good Luck!!

Well if everything is in good shape and everything runs good, the milage is not a problem because hondas last a long a time i have a 91 Civic and it has a lot of milage just make sure the v-tech is good. Just keep the oil changed and you shall be fine.
