You either get a wire diagram and splice all necessary wires or you buy a Honda adapter at best buy (ask for it) and just plug it together.

first off you need to know how to take off the old original CD player. Cant tell you how to do taht because its too complicated to write it down. You can buy a book that tells you about the civic at your local auto shop such as discount auto shop, murray, autozone. Then if the wiring are right then you just match the plugs. If they are not the same plugs then you may need to go to the sound system pros to give you the right plug and you may have to match the wire color to the right ones. Its pretty complicated but easy. Thats what i did.

i have a civic. its not difficult to install IF you know what you are doing. if you dont, have it professionally installed, if you already have the cd player it wont cost that much, under $100 but it will be worth it. you do it yourself you risk your stereo sounding like crap!

Buy a harness kit for your car year and all you do is match up the harness wires to the radios wires and plug it into the cars radio harness and viola.
