pressure plate makes the clutch engage the clutch pedal disengages the clutch.... If it is the pressure-plate you will have to remove the trans. from the engine, then you can replace the pressure plate (might as well replace the clutch also) and then you put it all back together.. you will need the help of a couple of strong buddies and about full day to do it, if you have all of the right tools. Or take it to the shop.

I can almost garauntee you its your clutch master cylinder!Check your fluid level under the hood, if its low fill to the max line and drive it to where you can change it. If its not low the o-ring on the inside might be blown out and you could try to replace where it sits. This is not too dificult of a task, a few standard tools and time.
