Recently the seal inside my accord went out and it was leaking oil. I had that fixed by a 'questionable' mechanic but afterwards my mother was driving it and according to her the gears just locked up.I want to make sure that it is the trans mission before i replace it, but basically it won't move at all, in all the gears when i give it gas. When i do give it gas the speedometer reads and so does the rpms but the car just won't move. Now from what i understand the speedometer shouldn't really move at all if it was the transmission, and also i can put the car in neutral and push it. Shouldn't the wheels be locked if it was the transmission? I really don't know too much about cars, so that's why i posted here maybe someone can give me some possible solutions or is it in fact the transmission?I've removed the air-intake hose/casing/battery casing. I just want to be sure it is the transmission before i move on.I can provide pictures or whatever if needed. Thanks in advance. --Mark

Check both axle inner joints,probably came out where they should be splined in the transmission differential and held onto by the circlips.

Most likely an axle problem. If the speedo works the trans is spinning like it should in gear. If one axle or axle joint is broken the trans will send all the power to that side, which in turn makes the car go nowhere. That happens because this transmission has no limited slip. Check that first.
