There are numerous after market parts to make your civic go faster, it will all depend on your budget. Bolt on goodies include, Open air filters(K&N), headers(mugen Ceramic headers), muffler, high tension wires, ignition(MSD or Mallory), spark plugs(Denso iridium). If you have a bigger budget, change or add the following: Nitrous oxide system, turbo, close ratio transmission, flywheels, port and polish, titanium valve springs, a new camshaft or just swap the engine to what could fit, then do this entire process on the new engine. To lighten the car change to a carbon fiber hood.Remeber to also change your brakes, if your car is faster, it will be more difficult to stop, and stock brakes will not do the trick. Brembo slotted discs are the best, so pay the premium for this. For handling and suspension upgrade to poly urethane bushings, add a sway bar(H&R), lower springs(H&R) and sport shocks(Bilstein). This set up will give you better handling, ride comfort will sacrifce a bit.As for rims, 17inches-18inches would be ok, tires Yokohama ADVAN or Nitto gens.

Well like every person that wants to mod there car has to think how fast I want to go and think is this car going be my daily? After you answer your question then you can start.Ok, first on a low budgets getting a better flowing intake will help your car breathe better also a set of headers and exhaust will help your car spun out that bad air out faster. But the cost of these items new is a alot probably in the $600-1200 range. So really what would I do?Turbo manifold at rcmotorworks.com for your motor cost $250 used but still good working t3 turbo $150 bov and waste gate $300 inteercooler and charge pipes $250 down pipe and flange $250 clamps, hoses and other small turbo items $150. OBD-2 to OBD-1 harness $100-150. DSM 450cc injectors $50-70 P28 ecu(92-95EX ecu obd1) $100 and colder spark plugs $15. Tuned at 8psi you should have a nice180-200whp EX for $1600 while a cost of a let say b16 swap would be 2200-3000 if you do it yourself. What OBD2-1 is because the OBD2 ecu don't really have any after market support while the 1 do and have free ecu tuning programs.Your tranny is close ration I noted someone mention it you should get one. You should have a great fast car for the price you would pay for I/H/E. On another note if you decide to swap please looking into the b20 it lets you keep your a/c items with out needed a custom bracket.
