Default 95 accord difficulty gearing up?

I have a 95 honda accord automatic with 201k miles it drives ok on highways but when is shifting gears, the engine feels like is over-working. It does go up to 4D gear, after engine kicks in enough rpms.In slow speed limits like 35, it has a hard time going to 4D.2 garages have taken a look, could not identify problem but changed all the electrical elements related to the engine, still not fixed. Any idea?

It could well be a transmission related problem, but I suggest you to take your car to the experts at your local Honda dealer.

I also have a 95 accord that I was having the same problem with, at one time it was having a really hard time changing gears and the rpm was fluctuating and I assumed it was a transmission problem because I do have a little over 201k miles on it but I took it to the Honda dealer and they said it was problem with the fuel sensor and they fixed it. I havent had the same problem out of it since, but with a honda 12 years old just take the hit and take it to the dealership because they will fix the problem, they're trained to work on hondas. If they don't fix the problem you take it back to them for free till it gets fixed....for the free. Although it might hurt your feelings to pay the extra it's better in the longrun...
