Default 2003 honda civic from dealership, car moves forward wilth in PARK ?? it only starts when valet...

...key is in ? why will only start with valet key in shifter and automatic is in Neutral position ? I hava had problem trying to shift ou to PARK sometimes.... now is seems broken. dealership sent out a guy to check it, he says to bring it in ? it's onle 2 weeks old from owning the car ... is there a way to reset or is automatic tranny is busted ?? it moves forward a little bit in PARK, when starting it up ?

Take it in see if the dealer covers it. To the gay who just posted here what do you drive America junk that losses 90% off its value when you drive it off the lot

yeah tough to say but sounds like a tranny issue, and dont listen to the first dude, honda is where its at, he doesnt know what hes talkin about, i would take into dealership, maybe still has warranty as its fairly new, if not take it to local mechanic

sounds like the interlock mechanism is out of whack. they were just talking about that today on car talk. i am guessing u have some kind of warranty on the car that is good for at least 30 days. take it back and see what they have to offer.

That sucks. :/ But it sounds like a Transmission problem. Or it has to do something with your brakes, or brake calipers.Take it to the dealer and see if they can fix it.

This is an issue that needs to be addressed to sales department ,the service manager at the dealership where you bought the car from. If you bought it as a used car, I hope you purchased a service contract.
