br goodwrinch, yokohoma, khumo, or continetal those are some of the better brands. also nitto and falken. try to stay away from toyos that are some of the worst and over priced tires.

It depends on what your application is and how much you want to spend. For serious road race/auto cross, then the Kumho ECSTA V710's are about as good as it gets, and have the price tag to go with it. For something a little cheaper and still high performance for street use, then Yokohama Parada Spec-2's might be a better choice. You only need to get all 4 corners if you plan on turning/handling good. If all you're looking for is straight line performance(drag racing) then a more pocket freindly option is to spend a lot of money on the front tires and then buy cheapo tires for the rear, since they don't necessarily affect the outcome of the race on FWD cars.
