Dont do it. They have an oddly high center of gravity and feel really unstable, even for an suv. Also, they look funny.

I own one...a 2000 CR-V, first generation model. I have several friends who own that model, and I also have contact with two others who own the second generation (2002 - 2006) model...The CR-V is a GREAT car! Everyone I know who owns one concurs too. One friend described it as, "...the biggest little car", since it seems to have a lot of interior space, yet is still a small SUV. The CR-V always garners top ratings from the auto rags as it excels in the following areas:- Superb build quality & reliability Honda is known for...equates to low operating cost!- Great engineering...this car was well thought out...totally practical- Easy access getting in/out & for loading/unloading.- Good fuel economy- Decent engine performance for a 4 cylinder (DOHC, VTEC)- Sharp looks too.- Comes well appointed, even in the LX model- Available w. 'Full Time AWD'...great for navigating icy, slippery roads- Great resale value that Honda's are known for.My wife looked at the 2007, new 3rd generation CR-V...it's even better than the earlier ones...they're selling like hotcakes...may have to hunt to find one you want...but that's the kind of car to buy...one that's in demand because it's a 'winner'!Happy car hunting!

I agree with snook. I traded my Honda Passport for a CRV. (06). Smaller than a SUV but lots of space. I have enjoyed it and it is fairly inexpensive to drive. I am getting around 33-34 mpg (highway)
