3 THOUGHTS!!!!1. BLAND2. BORING3. BEIGEThey raped Rover cars by teaming up with them in the 80's learning how to make a good European car and then took all their technology and dumped them when they were most needed. I would never buy Honda.

I bought my car 2 weeks ago with 133,300 miles, and it is already in the shop. I loved everything about this car, and I thought honda's were reliable, but now i'm having second thoughts. I was testing out my car, seeing what this V-tec thing was all about, then the engine light came on. Apparently I scourched a cylider wall, and it made a horrible ticking and rattling sound. The mechanics are telling me that I need a new engine, which i priced at about $6,000 OUCH!, or find a used engine, which is extremely hard in South Dakota. One mechanic told me that to overhaul this engine, it would cost $2500 alone in labor. Preludes are nice, but damn expensive to repair

There was once a Mr Honda... who had a dream. A dream to make cars and bikes... This is unique in the Asian car market. There was never a Mr Nissan etc... What I'm saying is it has heritage and that other thing I can't remember the word for! However, they are mostly driven by boring, bland old men... hope I've helped!

Since they are the first year of a new "model" 97-01 :"style. There could be electrical problems and little things like that. Just as long as you get it checked byt a mechanic before buying it. Making sure regular maintenance is kept up on a 10 year old car is important, too. But overall, when V-tech kicks in at about 5,000 to 5,500 rpms, you can definetly feel it pull.
