Alright, I believe if im not mistaken, youre asking if you can use an ECU out of a 92-95 Honda VX with an engine code of D15Z1 on a 1996-1999 Honda Civic VTi EK3 or Ferio Vi with an engine code of D15B...The answer is... yes you can. BUT!!!! There are many problems. One, your VX is an OBD-1, and the VTi is an OBD-2, in order to go around this, you will need a conversion harness. So, plan on spending 30-60 bucks on one of these... The biggest problem is that... Your D15B motor, will run like your VX ECU... the redline will be at the set point of whatever the VX motor was. The ECU will not automatically think, "hey Ive got a 130 hp motor hooked to me... i can now go faster" haha... it will have all the maps of the VX on the D15B, hence making it idle rough, accelerate crappy, possibly detonate and backfire, and have a redline of a lot less than the potential of your D15B.....SO! Go spend your money on the ECU and dont kill the motor. Please? Thanks!
