It may heat up faster, but that's not a good thing. You want cool air, not heated.... None of them will really give you a whole lot of HP gains, but possibly btter milage as cooler air will expand more when burned which means more push on the piston. While this may give some power, it will all depend on the air you currently get. It will no doubt be argued that it will breath better, which is true, except it has to get rid of the air it sucks in, so without a non-stock exhaust, it wont mater much..

Never go short ram. Cold air intake is the only way to go. When you go short ram your still just pulling in hot air from the engine compartment. Do yourself a favor and find a nice CAI. Injen, AEM take your pick. They are all going to have similar horse power gains. You may spend a bit more money but it's worth it.

First of all no! Don't get that poorly made eBay crap. Second what are you asking what will ad hp?To answer that we gotta understand what your intake is doing? Its freeing up horsepower not adding, since your stock intake is very restricted. Short ram will free up more horsepower and allow for more airflow to enter your intake manifold. While an cold air allows for more cooler air to come in since its place more towards the front of the car but dosent allow as much air flow as short ram.So Cold Air=Bring cooler air and less airflowShort Ram =Bring more airflow but the air is hot

Cold air is slightly better for increasing horsepower, as it is denser and thereby increases the total amount of oxygen in each intake stroke. Warm air is better for starting on a cold day, but finding warm air outdoors under those conditions with an already stone cold engine isn't easy (an old hairdryer?).

Aftermarket replacement intakes, other than looking cool, do NOTHING to increase HP under 6000rpm. I repeat: NOTHING. A well respected television show, 'Horsepower TV' decided to build a tuner car vs the usual muscle car for their weekly program a few months ago. The purchased a decent Honda Civic for $3900.00, added a serious cold/ram air intake system (which necessitated cutting out a portion of the lower bumper in order to make room for the air exchanger), headers and free flow exhaust system. They spent a whopping $1,000.00 for the upgrages and then tested for HP gain. At seven thousand (7000!!!) rpm the engine gained a heart stopping 10 horsepower. Wow. The silly side to all this is the fact that they could have easily purchased a good, stock Mustang GT that has three times the HP of the now modified Honda.Now, to answer your question -- NO, a cold air intake won't work. Besides, your Honda already HAS a cold air intake. It's just not an aluminum pipe.

Go with the cold air intake! Your stock air box is restrictive. The air gets sucked in to the box then defuses because the tube opens up, goes though the restrictive cloth filter, and then has to get forced in to the next tube to the throttle body. The whole design is very bad aerodynamics.If you get a cold air intake, the air goes through the filter first (this is a better less restrictive filter like a K&N) and strait to the throttle body. Less extreme angles and more fluid path for the air to fallow.The difference is like you trying to breath though a straw and then switching to a 3” PVC pipe. You may notice a better acceleration and probable a way better gas mileage ratio. On my civic, with an air intake I was getting almost 40 mpg on the highway.A ram air intake (or as I like to call them tepid air intakes J) gives the engine preheated less dence air from the engine compartment that causes the combustion to start sooner than it should--- i.e. BAD!Just get a good cold air!

you can get the short ram intake but if you are not gona buy the ceramic coat thing trying to get something cheaper then try to cover the regular metal intake with thermo tec (that's a stripe use to cover headers for faster dissipation of heat) so you will get the same results of ceramic without spend so much
